Det snurrar i min skalle

The week started with pinata parties, picnics, multimedia projects, and phun. P's friend Tahnee left us on wednesday, right before the (second) last Akademien. We pre partied at Skepps with mexi-skepps and frenchy-skepps. Everyones all like "where do i go in Paris" and im all like "shiittt"

Alice. I havent really blogged about her much. Shes fucking great, totally francaise and a big part of my time here. We got Esti to graffiti our faces for no reason for Aka. and of course i show up first, with noone else there with rediculos makeup untill about an hour after.

Got mega wasted at Aka, brought me back to the old days where you'd drink way too much, waste phone credit calling Australia in drunk depression, end up at Max eating gross food, or worse, making potachoes at your own place and then cleaning up the peels in the morning. out of all the shitty things one can do whilst drunk i did the second worst, slaped Myk in the face for close to no reason, and was a total ass to P and J, who are my besties so wtf. Anyway, i say second worst coz Anya womited on Esti. and i dont think she remembers so keep it hush hush.

Heres some fluke shot my camera took right before it died. what am i gonna do with no camera before my eurotrippa? im off to A6 tomorrow to demand a replacementon my swedish warranty.

oh i made the comment box below more friendly so anyone can write .. do it

Pollen

There is blizzards of pollen flying through the air. I went for a small forest walk yesterday and got attacked.

Everyone is rounding up the semester, finishing work, going to goodbye dinners and parties, and packing stuff and booking flights for Euro-traveling after!

Aka was great on wednesday, Perri was in Stockers with her friend Tahnee, who now joins us for a few days in JKPG. Sorry, im currantly drinking a chai/green tea fusion that is fucking good, so im a tad desracted. So anyway, back to Aka.. it was packed and Agnes was thier with a friend from Chile so we partied hard. Also had a great pre-party at Dions (see picture) which involved strip-cup, a beatiful forest view penthouse appartment and bannana liquor that is green. And a mental bus trip to Aka, which was a nice way to re-live the first few akas, with everyone blurting out thier cultural songs and chants. We tried to start a "We are onee... but we are maanny.." one with Grant, but it didnt really work out unfortunatly.

My mind is pretty occupied at all times. Am I going to survive my travels? When are all these events happening? Whats for dinner? Kanker? So Im kind of anticipating the semester to end. But it will be sad. There are people here I will miss so much, mainly Mykas, but we have more opportunities to meet in future.

Last night, Tahnee, Jasper, Perri and I had dins, then met Anya for some Pinata party in Råslatt, for Jorges' birthday. And drinkin continued to the Sokkertoppen party, which was ok, as 10:- wine and beer is pretty good. Tahnee wasnt used to the shovey nature in Sweden, so we gave her the run down. It is really fun having her here. what a babe.

So what now. I am gonna make some spinach feta pasties.. then work on web design homework with Marion, then perhaps dinner with Jasper and a garden party at Perris new found swedes place.

Oh, and I'm Dawson, Jasper is Pacey, Perri is Joey, and Anya is Jen. Except my forehead isnt as big as James Van Der Beek's.

Vi ses.

Sup JKPG?

Yeah I'm back in the city of sin. My home away from home. A paradiso for all. jebus.

So Myk had his birthday party which involved the largest speakers ive ever seen and some scornful facial expressions from Tanzanian roomy. Stoned Lithuanians and my ipod saving the dance floor. Oh and me and jelena broke this shitty chair.. heres the photoshoot that then took place

Then we had Spring Inspiration. which was awsome. Swedens 3rd largest Fashion event. on the bridge in JKPG.

Spring Inspiration from Sam Cremean on Vimeo.

The awsome foursome then made a TV report about the event for class. Our fave swedes Daniel and Agnes were also there for the ride..

Eurovision has been and gone too! It was fun watching the semis in Olgas bedroom and watching her switch races every five seconds "no i'm ukranian! no im estonian!". But we all wished we were Norwegian as Alex Rybak is cuuteee.

Spring insp also had a great after party at Aka, which was "transformed" (like 2 pillows and a candel stick) into a modeltropolis.

also booking flights and stuff for my trip after semester is over. looks like Portugal and Spain are joining my line up as Alex has offered to party with me in Barcelona. :)

Leave comments btw bitches.

Slopcruise to Tartlinn

Ok so firstly there are so many photos on this entry because this was such a fucking great trip i didnt want to make it seem shitty.

We boarded the Baltic Queen for the 'ESN Sea Battle'. This is a cruise from Stockholm to Tallinn (Estonia's capital) with aprox 2000 horny drunk international students from Estonia, Finland, and Sweden. Jönköping was deffs the sexiest of all of these universities. Our girls were wearing t-shirts with a skanky nickname (like Lara's "I like big baguette", as shes a frenchy) and then thier group name.. i kid you not, the "Sloptarts". My mind exploded with how much fun you could possibly make of this name. I mean it sounded like Robyn Antin herself was after another girl group to mentor. And our guys had the "Good Cunts Club" which i was peer pressured to join, but i dodnt really want to write that on myself. So as you can see Jönköping Univeristy only hosts refined, PC, and classy students.

We were given random cabins, which kinda sucked, but i was with Marion and Paul, more frenchies but they are good fun, and we didnt spend much time in the cabins anyway. Why would you when there was a tacky Vegas style club with its own dazzle razzle show featuring Elvis and Tom Jones. and some short Estonian chick they painted black to be Diana Ross.

So the boat from Stockers To Tallinn was a great night. We got wasted off tax-free alcohol, danced at the 2 tacky clubs and me and Jasper explored the boat. Us for bitches (pictured above) were constantly rating boys.. looking for a 7. we found a few 7's. but the talent was week.

We also had, ahah, a "Taco Buffe", which isnt the most appitising sounding idea whist one is on a boat. but it was hilarious, they had free wine so everyone went savage like the fountain scene in mean girls and i even spilt red all over Japsers jeans. ha.

Ah, there she is, the beauty that is the Baltic Queen.

Perri told us hilarious stories about her night as we hungoverly staggerd through the streets of Tallinn. I still dont know what i thought of this city. It was small, and quaint, with loverly locals, but it didnt have much going on.

Heres some creepy Estonian stuffed toys

We actually spent most of the day in this amazing square, with fountains that were hidden under glass thingies doing yoga with our sensai Perri. She is also Wikiperria and Googlebrainperri. God bless her soul.

Then back on the boat for another party. this time I stayed up till around 7 dancing in sun light like a maniac at "Ibiza bar". This was great, spet i was still drunk walking through Stockholm the next day..

Now my third time in Stockholm, i tried to navigate the others though the Gamla Stan, and i kind of did, but then forgot where weekday was so we went to topshop instead (coz japser has shit taste)

And then more nothing doing and profound conversation with jasper. We decided that sitting around in the sun doing nothing has become our new fave thing, but first you have to find your own inner Sweden. it sounds better in dutch accent. kanker.

Norway II

So we headed to the ferry in central Bergen after an attempted rooftop party in our hostel.

The scenery surrounding the Sognefjord area of Norway is spectacular. Its like national geographics fave place or something, and im not really a national geographic kinda guy but i loved it. Huge snowy mountains surround you and the cutest trolly looking river lands.

The first night at our cabins we played flip cup, some Canadian college drinking game, and me and my Mexicans were pretty good.

It also resulted in a drunken bon fire making session that got a bit masculine power-struggly.

I awoke to snow. In May, come on Norway.

Climbing Europes largest mainland glacier served to be a good hangover cure.

I was tethered to a bunch of my Spanish speaking friends, and oh! suprise! our tour guide is from Argentina so the whole trek was in Spanish! but Carlos (sexy Argentinian glacier expert) translated stuff for me. And complimented my glacier climbimg skills that night when thw guides came to party in our cabins.. when you live in a place with like 100 population and no bars or anything for miles, students groups provide entertainment.

My whole body ached afterwards, but watching Cinema Paradiso in some spanish guys cabin was a nice way to end the day.

Then we took a bus and another boat to Flåm. Which was a shitty town of 350 max. pop. And it was raining so the options for the day werent many. So we went on a lame faux-train (which looked like the Smorgys train in Geelong) around the town. The creepy Norweigen train conductor told us to look out for trolls. laammee. but i looked anyway.

Norway is a unique country with quaint northern charm and sexy blonde-ness. More than a week and I would have been extremely bored though, but I found a peacefulness within the amazing natural surroundings. I really did find peace on my mountain.. bitch. again. oh.

Norway I

Norway was an IA (International Association) organied trip, so I had my doubts and wearys, ahah. Im not the most boy scout, school camp friendly person who goes with the group and does the assigned activities. But it ended up being a rewarding, peaceful adventure. And I found peace on my mountain.. bitch.

After a 13 hour bus journey with a bunch of drunk Mexicans eating hot dogs (they seriously over prepared for the trip with like 7 willys bags and even thier own jar of mayonaise to spread on everything.), Talia, Estivaliz, Itzel, and thier Spanyard companion Alejandro adopted me into the Spanish speaking web along with my not so close friend Micheal (from perth), which made for an interesting combo. First stop was Bergen, the teeny tiny (yet second largest city in Norway) town surrounded by beautiful mountains. And yes. I did eat whale toast. It was goody.

This is the famous world heraitage listed Bryggen, wonky old houses on the harbour in central Bergen. It was a quiant lil' place

Nice little antique shop had some creepy old nana whistle thingies.

This fish market produced the most amazing tasting wild salmon ive ever tasted. And ofcourse the fishermen could speak spanish too so my posse was haggling and chatting like crazy. Esti is the best at this!!

At sun down we went for a hike up to the top of one of the mountains surrounding the city for a nice view. It really made Bergen look like a trolly Nowegian haven, in which trolly trolls would run through the woods at any moment.

Then off to the Sognefjord area by ferry..

Show Me Yo' City

Agnes showed me around stockholm the next day. its her hometown.

It was a lovverrly spring day so we just chilled and walked around a bit. I saw her work, at Espresso house, kinda like Starbucks but more Swedish and cool.

Heres a fun bin at her highschool that she went to with Bam and Ellen. It was right in the center of town an a really beautiful old building.

We went shopping too, I checked out the Swedish AA which was really nice, and picked up a vinatge Tshirt at Weekday, which i didnt realize had an underground vintage section.

As it was the first of may, the "Första Maj" festival was in full swing. Which means people were demonstrating in the streets and there was a massive stage in the city with bands and stuff.

Mmm what a day, then i spent a good 6 hours on a train back to good ol' Jönköping.

Valborg i Uppsala

Valborg is the most random meaningless festival ever. But for some reason once a year, Swedes gather at points around the country to drink, dance, and set things on fire. With no real idea of why the hell you are doing these things among crowds of thousands.

Uppsala is an awsome city. Though the council (or kommun) organized a stage and heaps of bands and dj's, they didnt organize any toilets. so a lot of piss could be seen in gutters, around trees and on buildings. I even saw one girl squatting behind a bike rack, not very private.

Whoops this picture should be flipped. We met up with Ellen, Agnes' friend from highschool in Stockholm, who is even mre bubbly than Agnes (if possible) and more friends BamBam, her bf Seb and her friend Nadya, who was a Finnish/Chillian born in Sweden. (an interesting mix). BamBam is a really cool dancer and she showed us these awsome clips of her with her crew in tacky 80's style videos she did.

There were parties going on in all different parts of the city, a park called Ekonomikum was the biggest one, with the stage, but after that cleared out (refer to picture of all the rubbish left behind below) we headed over to a sick reggae party in a student accomodation area. we had a svenska BBQ (with korv) and smoked some vattenpipa in the hot sun. I actually got a tan. in Sweden. how bizzare!

There was quite a lot of sick svensk fashion.

Then we head to another party, in Studentvägen, where Ellen lives, with an electro dj. by this time it was dark and time to start fires! :)

We started our own valborg fire as i was drunk and acting like a small arsonisitc child. is arsonistic a word? An old Ecudorian man came to our resuce and started the fire for us really. Hes my hero.

Heres a vid of the reggae party.
